We Corvette owners already know that we are a "Strange" bunch so let's see just how strange. I'm sure many of you have named your car so let's hear from you what is it?

My car is "The Scarlet Avenger" or just "Scarlet" for short, yep, it has something to do with living in Virginia and GWTW.

Keep 'em rollin' :W
Bill

It already has a name "Corvette".Have vettes for 17 years now,c3,c4's and c5... never named any of them. Just modify and race em...
After all,it is just a car.

Yeah, owned three corvettes so far and a ton of Hi-Po vehicles, but have never named any of them, just enjoyed the heck out of them.

Bill,
You're not alone. I've named my Vette. I call her "Vixen."
;)

Hey vette boy, cool avitar. I just had to say good bye to my 11 yr old german shepherd last week. I'm still bummin...

Hudson.

Please keep in mind Corvettes are livin' breathin' things with feelins .:D

My first vett was a white 69 so I called it "Whitey " and My diesel truck is called "Big Boy".But other than that I've never named to many cars.

Now we are getting into the swing of things, show some imagination guys/gals it's more fun to be a little "out there" because average can be a bit boring. I'll bet female names will out weigh the male ones, it just seems natural.

Jdeatsch --- Wow, a Corvette named Hudson, I hope that doesn't upset the Time-Space Continuum. I suppose next we will hear of somebody with a Ford naming it Edsel!!

Vette Boy --- you've got a good color for gravel roads. I had a silver 88 Allante for a few years and it always looked clean even though I'm a mile back from the mailbox on a gravel road.
I'm really sorry to hear about your pal.

Bill

I have names for all mine

71 Coupe--"Yellow Thunder" or "Big Block from Hell"
95 Coupe--"Barney" for it's dark purple metallic paint
04 Z06 -- "3Balls39" for it's serial no 00039

I named mine "War Pony". I'm a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma. Our people were known for having the fastest and best horses among all native nations. Additionally, Comanche horse herds were large. Well, with 350 horses (stock ;)) under the hood, my C5 carries on those traditions well.

BTW, this is only the second car I've named. Way back in high school, I named my 1979 Trans Am "KATA". It stood for Kick A$$ Trans Am.

Navy Blue Metallic 2000 coupe = "JetBlu" if it's running right, "The Great Blue Whale" if it ain't. :chuckle
Andy :w (savin the wave for LT4man)
"Hiya Steve"

I call my 09 Vette Hecate because she is a Goddess.
I had camaro named Betsy and a v-powered vega I called
maggie Mae.

Trust me Bill, nothing i do to my vettes are "average"..lol.. i just don't name mechanical devices.
That was my shepherd you were refering too,his name was "Camaro"... if i had to name my vette,it would be named after my shepherd that rode in the car at least 4 times a week his whole life, hes rode in 2 different c4s and a c5 his whole life. Car cruise and everything. Now that turns heads, when i come out of 7-eleven or such, there was always people standing back from the car, saying "nice security system" as my shepherds huge head is hanging out the side waiting for me..lol..

Nice idea for a thread, Bill!

A fine Memorial to a true Corvette enthusiast! :thumb

A traditional name in honor of one's ancestry! I like it!

As I mentioned in another of your threads, Bill... my Light Carmine Red Metallic convertible is Cinnamon Girl.

A dreamer of pictures I run in the night
You see us together, chasing the moonlight,
My cinnamon girl.

The first time I read those lyrics after buying my C5, it just seemed so apropos.
