I thought I saw this on the page a while ago but I cant find it. I am looking for a web site that will tell me what options were available on a vette if i had the VIN. Does anybody know of such a tool?

Thanks!!!

The VIN will only tell you the year, make, model, restraint system, location built, engine, and build number.
It will not tell you what options were available on any specific car.

Where can I find an example that will explain to me which numbers/letters in the VIN define year, make, model, etc.

Thanks.

Give me a VIN and I will break it down for you.
By the way... did you ever end up getting your VETTE?

Hi veteluvr74,
It is the 10th character in the VIN. This is the magic spot. This is where the official model year designation is.

Thanks Ctfoodguy.

LEEJANDZ - No, I haven't bought a Vette yet. Trying to get it done before the end of this month, but can't find what I want locally, and can't even get most of the out of towners that I contact to return an e-mail.:mad:hb

I'm going to post another message asking for a little help from the forum.

Hokie,
Are you looking for a new Vette? I went through the same problem when I was in the market for my 2003 AE. I searched on www.gmbuypower.com and looked further south (I'm in Northern VA) for a better deal. I found exactly what I was looking for at Shelor Chevrolet in Christiansburg, VA. It was a 250 mile drive, but worth it. I also got good service/help at Radley Chevrolet in Fredricksburg, VA. Hope this helps.

Randy
