Went to VIR Friday and Saturday (going back today) and visited the Corvette Corral. Got to go out on the track and run 2 1/2 parade laps. The safety car was running faster than I expected for parade laps. I was the second Corvette from the back (there were about 60 Corvettes):happyanim:, so there was a lot of rubber banding back where I was. On the home stretch there was a big gap between me and the Vette in front of me, so I matted it to catch up. I looked down and I was doing 135 mph. It kind of shocked me that the old '88 got there quick. It was the first time I had been on a road course and it was a hoot!!!

Got the pic of my "88 Vette on the parade laps from the IMSA Corvette Corral gallery. I'm like a little kid - I loved it. My original post stated that there were about 60 Corvettes making the parade laps. My guess was way off there were over 90.

I usually make the VIR race and watch from the Corvette corral, but it now conflicts with Corvettes at Carlisle....bummer. VIR is about 30 minutes from my home.
