None yet, but working on it.
Hi fellow CAC'ers.

I've always loved Corvettes, but recently I've become more involved and interested in learning more about them. My goal is to own one within 5 years.

So in the next 5 years I have plenty of time to prepare. I want to make the most of this time so that I'll know exactly what I want and how much I want to pay when the time comes.

I'm partial to C3's because of they're popularity, relative affordability, and I won't need a computerized diagnostic machine to work on them (plus they look cool).

I've looked here at CAC, Amazon, and eBay for books on C3's but there are just SO many. I can't get all of them but I'd like to get a few that would be effective in flattening out my learning curve.

Besides the CAC website, what are some suggestions you could make for learning materials? I'd prefer to start with the basics just to make sure I don't miss anything and then work my way up, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for your help.

Dean J.

Dean,

Welcome.. There will be many here that can help you through your learning curve.. One young man comes to mind that started here at CAC as you are.. his logon is Stallion.

Stallion can maybe point you to some of his past threads or advise you and what he did to get to the point he is today... a proud owner of a Silver Anny (78).. I'll back out of here and enjoy watching your progress over these next few months and years ;)

Welcome Dean!

Welcome to Corvette Action Center.
Stallion (TR) also came to mind when you posted your plan. The best I can recommend is to read past threads about the C3 generation and you will learn TONS! Our members at CAC are friendly and helpful.
Good luck with your Corvette plans.

Welcome Dean,
I'm from Berks County. We are practically Neighbors. :D I too, always wanted a vette. A C3. I told my wife, when the kids grow up, I'm getting one. When my last son graduated, it was now my turn.:Steer
The :CAC is the best place to find information. I have learned so much from this site and I'm sure you will find all your answer's right here. Enjoy and good luck!

Hey, Dean. You chose a great forum and a great generation to concentrate on. ;)

As for learning, there is a wealth of information here at CAC and just around on the internet. A good thing would be to spend a little bit of time at How Stuff Works. You will learn a lot, and it will give you a brief idea of what you will be looking at. Most of that is just scraping the top, though. But it is great information.

Also, I have asked a lot of questions (;)) here at CAC. The best place to search and look for informative threads is the "General Tech" board.

I will look for some more links and some of my more useful questions that pertain. In the meantime, good luck with learning and you will reach your goal!! No question about that. :)
