It took me almost 10 months to find Rare. I looked at 2 other 1981 Charcoal Corvettes, both had Black interior, I wanted Silver Leather.
I found Rare in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 1997. I paid premium for her considering the condition she was in, but Rare was EXACTLY the Corvette I was looking for. I've owned my share of Corvettes, C1, C2, C3 & C4's and decided to go back to the C3.
It's been a work in progress since I got her back to California, just about everything has been touched or at least looked at since I got her here!! Everything from interior, suspension, transmission O/H, rear end, and new paint.. I probably have as much invested in making her a 10 as I paid for her... well close
