Welcome!

Hi Dave!

Welcome aboard!! It's always nice to have another Canadian around, especially one from one of my favorite cities, Ottawa. My wife was born and raised in Ottawa, a grad of Ridgemont High and U of Ottawa and her family still resides there.

I hope someone can help you with your problem; I sure can't!! Do you need both or a single? Motors as well or just the fibreglass??

I have a 63 headlight bucket for the left (driver's) side that has been in storage for over 25 years. If you are interested, let me know and I can send pictures or provide other details.

Firemist1 re: LHS Bucket

Thanks,

I would be interested in seeing what you have. Let me know the details.

I need both sides as I someone replace them with metal at one point. I want to return them to their orginal state.

I have the guts, but will prob need the bezel etc for the 63 style.

Thanks

Oolong

What ever you have leftover.. I'll buy.. I ll be needing both sides too!

Attn: Vigman

I take it you mean the parts I have left over from the metal buckets I have. They would be for the 64-67 vettes.

1963 Headlight Bucket

The bucket was on my 1967 when I purchased it in 1975. I replaced it 2 years later with a new bucket from Chevrolet to keep the car original. Other than that, the bucket has been sitting in the garage since 1977 and I have just not gotten around to listing it on eBay! Do you want me to send pictures? It is a very usable, original part.

Attn: Firemist1

If it's the fibreglass one sure. If it's the metal that came with the 67, no I'm not interested. I have those on the car now and want to replace them with the fibreglass ones that originally came with the 63.

Thanks

Dave

I'm getting a 64.. so they would be correct.. but I'm not going NCRS.. so either would do for me.

1963 Headlight Bucket

It is the fiberglass bucket that was used only for the 1963 model. Both pivots are built into the housing where the 64 -67 had the pivots bolted on.

I could use the metal ones for one of my projects. What do you want for em?

re: Metal Headlight Buckets

The RHS is damaged.... someone put bondo into it and it has cracked the paint.

I won't be removing them from the car though until this summer, and after I have found the fibreglass ones to replace them..... THEN I have a major paint job planned :-)

Once they are off, I will sell what ever is left over.... and I won't be in it to make money either way so it will be a reasonable price.

I will post back here when I have them available, and if you guys are still interested, let me know.

Dave

P.S. Canadian winters ... this car is well and truly stored and on blocks till about May.

I have a pretty decent right side for a 63 with the paint stripped,$200

1963 Headlight Bucket - Left/Driver's Side

Here are a couple of pictures showing the headlight bucket. Pivot shafts are straight & interior is as shown. There is red, maroon & black paint on it, so you would probably want to strip it and paint correctly from scratch. If you are still interested, let me know.

how much do you want for the left one?Maybe if he passes I will buy yours and have a pair for a future project, because as I like to say"they don't make them anymore"

I will keep you in mind. I will give Dave Hicks first shot at it since he was the one that asked for help. If he passes on it, I will contact you. Thanks for your interest.
