I am looking for a 90 or 91 Corvette with a 6 speed to build into a SCCA road race car. If anyone knows of good web sites with wholesale cars for sale, or a car with a broken motor or other mechanical problems please send me a reply. We are on the west coast.
I check the Auto Trader online daily. Looking for a hardtop car with a good frame that has not been wrecked.
This will be fun, I will keep you all posted on the progress of my rebuild project and racing adventures.
Thanks!!

Okie dokie!

Why are you looking for 90-91?

What is a "good" price to you?

I assume it does not need a good title?

I raced an 86 before and I am not really in love with the 4+3 trans. It was pretty dependable, but a 3 man job to remove , very heavy. I really want a 6 speed this time, so an 89 would work. 90 has a better instrument panel, this really doesn't matter for racing. 91 has the smooth body, it would be great. 92 is the different motor, we have a spare race motor, I am not sure about interchanging the water pump, motor mounts, and all of the front motor stuff. 92s are worth more money too, kind of getting out of my budjet. So, we are looking for a 89 -91
for wholesale or below. Dream car would be a 90 or 91 6 speed with a dead motor for $6000. Dream on :Steer
Race season is approaching soon and it is time get going

Ooooo, 6K? I was going to say that AutoWeekly magazine, I think thats the name of it, I get it every week (hence the name) and I honestly dont know the name.

...Whoahh, back to reality.

Yes AutoWeekly Magazine has a pretty good selection of race ready Vettes for 30-60k in the classifieds.

60K?? That baby had better be fast.
For 60 a guy could buy a new ZO6 and have spare change to go racing for a year. If we had money we would be dangerous. I am looking something low cost because I plan to replace all of the mechanical components. You know how racing is :: anything that is not new usually breaks first. :crazy
Drive like you stole it :Steer

Have you checked michigan corvette recyclers? they have stuff like that.
rebuildable vettes.
