I am considering getting a bra for my 99 and would appreciate any and all imput on what is considered the best available for price and performance. I have looked at a Tone-On-Tone one by Speed Lingerie, a little pricy compared to your "basic black" type bras. Is the Speed Lingerie worth the extra, or are the regular ones just as good? Are there any that provide protection without rubbing and marring the finish?

I only use a bra on long road trips ..... so to me it hardly worth it to me to pay that high of a price. I use the GM bra... It's cheap and easy to put on and take off.

and if you leave it on for long periods of time in which you vette sits in the sun the paint under the bra wont fade while the open paint does and you have a 2 tone yellow

This is one of the reasons. (fading) I only use them on road trips.

The main reason I don't keep the bra on...... is that dirt and grime gets between the bra and paint and it scratches the paint.

Speed Lingerie guarrantees that their bra will not flap around up to 150MPH. One of the reasons it's pricy. Also one of the reasons they don't make headlight covers or hood cover - they can't guarrantee that those will not flap around at 150. That leave a big part of the front unprotected.

If you're going to the track and want to protect the nose from rocks and dirt thrown up by the car in front of you, buy the Speed Lingerie bra and mirror covers. Otherwise, there might be better choices.

I have a Colgan bra that covers the nose and part of the hood along with light covers. I only use it on long trips. It flaps some above 85. I try not to drive faster than 85 with the bra on.

I use the GM bra. It fits well and is probably about the least expensive. I only use it for road trips. They should not be left on for long periods or everyday use. Dirt and rocks get down inside them and scratch the paint. Also never leave it on wet. If its going to rain take it off. The moisture can't evaporate under the bra it can also ruin the paint. Road Trips only. Good Luck!:gap :gap
