MAS problem

Hello. I am getting a Mass Air Flow problem with my diagnostic tool. The 1986 Vette runs good but the check engine light comes on intermittent. I pulled the Mass Air Flow Sensor off and it looked clean so I did not mess with it. I was going to replace the Burnoff relay because it's cheap to try to see if it will fix the problem. What should I do? I just joined the Corvette Forum so I'm still trying to figure out how to use this website. Thank you.

relay(s) are a good place to start. The early OEM relays were prone to failure. Be sure Foil in MAF foil/film is not covered with oil.

Not sure I get the connection to the burnoff with the MAF error. I'd spray carb cleaner into the MAF while running the engine and see it it cleans it/clears the code for good. Also recommend following the code troubleshooting in the FSM.
