A few times now I've walked away from the Vette only to look back and discover I've left the park/fog lights on!!! Sometimes (more not than often), the little warning ding will sound. Anybody have the fix on this problem? Thanky!

I don't think I've ever heard my warning bell go off. I know there have been times that I've left the lights on .... the neighbors actually told me .... but no warning. Maybe its a fuse or the little "piezo buzzer" ... best way to describe it ( I know its not a buzzer).

Do you get a warning if you leave your keys in the ignition or a seat belt warning if your belt isn't fastened? If not, the tone generator may be bad. This is a module that mounts near the CCM and is apparently getting hard to find (I just replaced one and it took my dealer three week to find it).

Headlight/Parking Light warning 'ding'

I had a GM car once that wouldn't 'ding' to warn the headlights or parking lights were left on if the interior light dimmer was set all the way to minimum.
Accused the wife of leaving the lights on (spent several days in the dog house) and at last discovered what was going on after replacing the battery.
Hope this helps, strange as it is.

No. That's just it..., every now and then the warning will sound s-l-o-w-l-y and it always surprises me. It sounds as if I'm choking it. A TONE GENERATOR, huh? Good. Thanks, GeorgeT. Now I have solid knowledge to take with me to the dealer or some shop, instead of having them root around for the problem AND charging me for the rootin' around.
