Warranties

Still new to the forum and starting to look earnestly for a C5. I was wondering about the various warranties being offered for purchase through various dealers. Do they have value as advertised? Can you get service done where you like or is it restricted? Are some better than others?
I received an e-mail the other day about GMPP warranties being sold through a Chevrolet dealer for about 60% off. I do not remember the dealers name but would think that this might be the way to go. Any thoughts?
These forums are fantastic and I am forwarding this site location to other owners that I work with.
Hope to get some more info before putting a lot of dollars down and then being disappointed.

I bought a GMPP warranty for my 04 Coupe. I had to buy it before the factory warranty expired.

I believe that if you purchase an extended warranty from a dealer, the car must be less than 10 years old and the milage, I think, below 50K. I have one on my 02, but could not purchase one for the 94.

I have a 2003 50th AE and I bought an extended from GMPP from a dealership in CO at a VERY good price. If you want the name PM me. For me, GMPP is the best warranty out there.
