Washed car Fob Died??

Hi all
I have a 1994 Rag Top and it has that goofy Fob that unlocks and unlocks the is car without pressing the button, As soon as you get in range of the car it unlocks it and when you walk out of range it locks it.


I had a 96 CE that had the same Fob I'm pretty sure they only came on 94-96 cars..I think this happened to me on my 96 (hard to remember it sucks getting old but old is better then dead) so I'm not sure how I fixed it


I washed the car and now the fob does not work has anyone ever have this happen.......I know how to reprogram it no problems it shows you how in the owners manual.....I just would like to avoid it next time I wash the car....

Check the battery in the FOB

For what it's worth I'd check the door switches. I guess some water could have gotten into the door electrical???????
