Water leak at doors

I have a newly restored 64 Coupe. The seals leak at the top of the door (a lot not just a little). Anyone know any "tricks" to solve this problem? I'm not concerned with originality, just function.

Open the door, roll the window down, place your knee at the rear of the inside of the door even with the bottom of the window opening, and pull inboard on the top of the door to get a tighter seal gap at the top of the door; that's the way it was done in the plant.
