If you have a C6 Coupe, next time you wash it, check the driver's side storage compartment in the rear of the luggage area. Take out whatever you have inside, and feel the bottom corners. Mine leaked everytime I washed the car - not much, but enough to make the "carpeting" damp at the bottom of the compartment. Took it back to the dealer, and he replaced the deck lid seal, despite me telling him that's not where the leak was. Water that runs in the small gap between the deck lid and the fender is channeled to a drain just ahead and outboard of the tail lights. Once past the drain, it runs down the back side of the storage compartment wall, and leaks past a grommet through which runs the pull cable for the driver's door emergency release. Just returned from the second go-round with the dealer - they checked with Chevy, who now admits that there's an engineering problem in the location of the drain. They're sending a rubber diverter/hose which they claim will send the water past the grommet area. Bad news is that I have to wait a week for the part, and then back to the dealer yet a third time.
If you notice a damp spot in your storage compartment, insist that the dealer check with Chevy for the fix. I don't know if there's a technical bulletin out on this problem - the dealer wouldn't tell me that. If anyone's got some inside information from GM, let us know.
