How does one remove stubborn water spots on black paint? My car was irrigated recently on a Cal Poly campus and I am still seeing the stubborn little buggers show up in in the right liight. Sanding to remove is OUT!!!

First try something simple like a swirl remover that is safe for clear coats. You will probably have to machine buff, but that may be all you need to do. There is a water spot remover out there - Meguires is one source, but try the safest method first.

I have used vinegar and water in the past that worked well for me, but you will need to wax or seal the paint when you are done. Good luck with it. :)

If the car didn't have a good coat of wax, the water had a high mineral content and you can't get the stuff off, you'll going to have to try some of the methods above.

Unfortunately, some mineral residue can result in permanent damage to the paint.

I use it and Arizona Green Tea with Honey and Ginseng to Trap Japanese Hornets,Bald Face Hornets,Yellow Jackets and Wax Moths so they don't raid my Honey Bee Hives!:thumb

Honey Bees won't go near any thing fermented ,Makes it the best and safest thing to use!:thumb:thumb
