We Have A Mating Going On!!!!!!!!!!!

Folks,

As many of you are aware, I have been in the process of restoring my 1963 Z06 that I lovingly call LADY. Well, Tony called me this evening about 5:00 PM EST and said frame and body have been reunited!!!!! Damn, wish I had been there! He said everything lined up with very little effort and they put in the number of shims called for in the assembly manual. He said the doors opened and closed like they are supposed to. He finally said the car has a slight rake from front to rear that makes LADY look a little more agressive than standard. HE sad, "Rick you will love the look!"

Dying to see photos! Funny you mention 'rake'. Something intrinsically cool about a lower front end tapering upward to the rear. I'm old enough to recall cars raked backward, tall in front and low in the rear, for better weight transfer reasons, especially during racing, but always hated the look. In the split window it will look awesome!

fyi - got the trailer over to Truck-n-America this evening for a winch install - gotta be ready to bring LADY home! (VBG)
