Well here it goes again I am sure....getting ready to paint the 63 and need advise. After reading all the Corvette Mags and my goodie bag from Carlisle I am completely confused on which weather flashing or stripping is the best one to purchase. Which one has the most stock original look, last the longest and best fit? I need your opinion on this as I am completely confused :confused

Thanks...

If you can find the GM originals, they would be best, but probably near-impossible to get. I've seen recommendations for "Corvette Rubber" in Michigan as the closest match to original (although discernible from original), which I think is available from them or from "The Last Detail" or many other parts vendors. The only other repro is by "Metro Moulded Parts", also sold by vendors, and are said to be decent too. One trick is that door weatherstrip needs to have a cut made at the bottom (location shown in the AIM) to allow air to exit when the door is closed, otherwise the doors will be hard to close against the new weatherstrip.
