Weatherstripping and brake fluid

I was astonished when I searched and didn't find anything like this on here, so here goes, my first tip. If your weatherstripping around the windows isn't sealing so well (as mine wasn't when I got my car) an easy and cheap fix is to rub some brake fluid into the weatherstripping, being VERY careful not to get any on the paint(If you want to keep the paint that is). This reconditions rubber and such and works ad infinitum if you reapply from time to time.
I find this out during my forays into Triumph and Jaguar land. British cars feature the worst and most expensive rubber parts on earth

That would scare me to death, especially if you happened to touch an exposed weatherstrip with a finger and then touched a painted surface; I prefer silicone spray on a rag (or DuPont Krytox lube, if you can find it) to condition weatherstrips.
