I am curently runing an L82 with edelbrock performer cam. hedman headers. twin 2.1/2 inch straight thru exhaust with balance pipe. reworked hei distributor 36 deg at 3000 rpm. and HO qudrajet. all emission systems and air con removed. HP at moment is around 300. does anybody no what the HP increase will be if i fit a weiand 142 supercharger.? howard

Depends on Compression ratio ..if you running low , lets say 9 or less , you will get sorta significant gains - if higher , you wont.
Do not bank on more than 100hp at max , prolly closer to 60hp.
I think all the issues you face with one of these anbd cost are not worth the increase - I would go with a paxton novi or the like and add a water/meths injection system.
I cant see costs less than $3-4k any way you go - why not drop in a nice 400+ cu inch stroker sub?

thanks rodney. comp ratio is 9.1 had eng out last summer fo major overhall only done 500 miles since. alredy have full weiand kit including air scoop all new. cost including import duty was £2000. think thats about $3000.

I recon you will get 30% more HP and lets say the same torque wise at 4-5 boost, however I don't think it will clear the bonnet....
But anyway , im sure you will enjoy the grunt the weiand will give you , the days when it doesnt rain in England :) (i have a 454 torque monster in an El Camino pickup which is a total nightmare to drive in the rain)
