Oh, you mean that suave, eloquent fellow next to the redhead - naw, didn't see him..............:eyerole :L

We had no idea whether or not they would use any of the interview but they used more of it than we had expected. We did see a few cars we recognized as well. It was well done but tough to wait until the last fifteen minutes to see the Corvettes @ Carlisle segment.

The show is scheduled to be shown again at 6 PM (EST) tomorrow.

Rich

It sure would be nice to have the entire event on TV - heck, I don't get to see enough of it myself! :-) I guess it's good they only do a short segment of a few events, it's a good teaser to entice people to come & see the events for themselves first hand!

Life is good!

Sincerely,

Lance

PS Great job Rich!

All the time that helicopter was flying over the fairground, that's all they showed?

You have to admit, it was a good shot at least?!?!? :)

Rich

What an excellent interview,You looked calm as a could be.You are an excelent ambassador for the corvette community. Great job

They could make an entire series on TV just about that long week end in August, interviewing the corvette folks and listewning to there stories.

Once again Great Job Rich, and I will see you there this August

The first time they used some "Rich and attractive redhead" footage I thought, wow, great that he got on, and did so well - and then I was pleased to see much more of those two crazy kids from CT - you really came off well Rich, a natural - what was that by-line they kept using for you - "famous Corvette modifier" or something? :D

Lance & Larry,

Thanks for the kind words. It's not difficult though to speak about something we all enjoy and we enjoyed doing it. We're already looking forward to this year's event and speaking with all the nice folks there - yourselves included, of course........:D

Jack,

Well, I can attest to the "attractive redhead" but must have missed the Corvette modifier line.......:L We do appreciate the "two crazy kids from Ct" comment though. ;LOL

Carlisle

I missed the first airing of the show but managed to get it on tape Friday night.
I have never been to Carlisle, but I really look forward to making the trip in the summer of '06. It was good to see Rich on the show and I look forward to hopefully meeting them in person.
I wonder how many of the forum members are able to meet each other there after a year of e-mails?
take care
Tom

I saw John Z, and Andy Bolig from Corvette Enthusiast. I also spotted the Vettehead.Com Blimp in the opening segment. :D

I have met several forum members at carlilse,As a matter of fact I met a member from this forum last year who walked up to me and introduced himself and asked if I was ih2lose from the CAC.(I still dont know how he knew me) I have made several new freinds at carlilse who I stay in touch with thru out the year.Me and the family make a week out of it,We spend the first couple of day in hershey park for the kids to have fun,Then we spend the end of the week in carlilse with the show. This year I will have my project 62 there. And I will NOT! be runnig thru the swap meet to look for parts,My first year ever I am just going to hang out there and get to veiw all of the cars on the grounds.(I say this now but my wife says it will be impossible for me to not go into the swap meet)

A little history on me I have bad knees and its a real chore to get around the show grounds But I will not miss it for anything in the world.Just plan ahead with a way to keep cool,it brutal there the last week of august during the day

For anyone who missed the Cars at Carlisle TV special, which first aired earlier this month, it will be shown again on Thu, Mar 31 @ 5:00PM and Sat, Apr 2 @ 4:00PM (EST) on the Speed Channel. It covers several events held in Carlisle last year and the last segment covers Corvettes @ Carlisle.

What a great lookin dawg! Looks like he could eat an apple through a picket fence. I saw the show on the 31st. What a bummer to wait til the last 15 minutes of the show to see the Vettes, but you know what they say about saving the best....
My 67 has had a lot of work done on it now and I will be bringing it to Carlisle this year. It would be nice to meet some of you guys there. Last year I met BarryK and Rick Aleshire there.
