I went down to Sebring last week for the first time. It didn't disappoint. Sebring is the top endurance race in the U.S. and the teams go all out. You really get the feel that you are witnessing serious and important racing. For those that have never been, here are a few comments. The track is big and even with over 100K fans there are plenty of very good viewing areas. You can walk the track and see all the turns and long runs very well. There is plenty of parking. There is great access to see the cars, crews and drivers up close. The cars scream and I strongly recommend ear plugs (the soft in the ear kind) they are cheap, work well and make the race much more enjoyable. If you can bring a folding chair for the race is long and sitting is handy. If you fly down, buy an inexpensive chair in FL and give it away at the end of the race. Bring a small radio so you can listen to the race broadcast. It helps a lot and keeps you informed about what is taking place, driver changes, collisions, etc. Made a room reservation early and even then you will probably have to stay a half hour or more away. Going to the race is certainly worth it atleast once no matter where you are from.
