Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

were can I look

The only variable info encoded into the VIN (other than sequential serial number) is whether the car is a coupe or convertible and which engine type it originally came with

5th digit in the VIN: Base - K, LT1 - L, LS5 - W

Look in the tech/model center on this site for more info.

What are you looking for? VIN tells you quite a lot all by itself. Make and model, year of production, assembly plant, original engine, and consecutive unit number.

Engine stamp will tell you the assembly date of the engine and its original application.

Trim tag on the driver's door hinge post will show codes for original exterior color and interior trim, plus the time build date.

More specific information (such as options) will have to come with documentation accompanying the car or previous owners.

:)
