This is for anybody that lives (or travels) in West Central GA: Does anybody know what the story is with the guy who lives several miles outside of Talbotton, GA on Route 80 ?
I came through there earlier this week heading east on Route 80 toward Perry GA. Just a few miles outside of Talbotton, on the right side of the road (if heading east) is a fairly large house where I noticed an old Model T or Model A Ford under the carport. As I passed by the house I noticed several other pieces of "old Detroit Iron" sitting around the house. I decided to do a "U'ie" and have another look.
On my way back (heading west now) I saw a '68 or '69 Corvette off to the side along with more cars. I slowed down to get a good look and saw that this guy (I'm assuming it's a guy, of course) must have twenty or more cars of varying makes and age stored, mostly under what I would call "pole barns". He's got everything from '57 Chevy's to early Jeeps !
The Corvette appears to be kind of rough and is either a really bad brown or primer (my guess is primer. I took a picture of it but (a) I'm not good at posting pictures here and (b) the picture didn't come out all that well; kind of dark as the sun was beginning to set.
I'm just curious to know if anyone knows anything about this "Car Nut" and what the story is; looks like more than a few of the cars are excellent candidates for restoration.
