I waxed my Artic white 95 yesterday, and it was a real pain in the eye to see the wax on the car, I use Mothers and it looks pink while in the can, but goes on almost clear, and dries white.

So I was wondering if anyone uses a wax that goes on with any noticable color and dries that way, so its easy to see on a white car?

I use Zaino on mine. It is a superior system even though a little pricey.

How often should I wax?

There is no standard answer regarding how often you should wax.

Many variables influence the life of the wax:
Type and color of paint
Condition of paint
Local environment (normal conditions and extraordinary events)
Number of hours exposed to outside conditions
Quality of the wax used and method of application

Meguiar's provide car owners with a personalized paint care prescription that takes into account all of these factors.

What is right for a car kept outdoors all day in the Midwest is not right for a car kept 80% indoors in San Antonio.

It doesn't appear as if your question is really getting answered LOL!

All you want to know is if there's a competent wax out there that is visable on a white car so that you can see what you're doing while you're waxing.

Right?

Well the excellent wax I use goes on white-ish, so I don't have any information for you.

Good luck!

Mine is not white but light pewter. I use plain ol turtle wax. Wax doesn't polish the paint. Only polish will polish the paint. Wax is to seal over the paint and "protect' the finish (polished or not). Anyway, not to lecture, but I wax my car in the evenings in my garage where I can see the "haze" when it dries. I have a few bottles of "Excalibur" polish/wax , also made by turtle wax company. I don't know if they still make it or not, but it works well on light color surfaces. Whe I find soething that works well on a certain finish I usually get a good quantity of it so i will have it. Dupont used to make a product in a green can called old #7 polish and it was good. Made a nice haze that you could see and get off real easy. Then a can of any reputable wax would work fine to seal ("protect") the finish. I don't buy into all the hype nowadays with expensive waxes. Know why? You probably already bought an "expensive" hi-tech finish that is durable and will look good for a long time anyway. "regular" care is sufficient.

Since I have never owned a car with white paint, I do see that it could be a problem trying to see the wax. You could try waxing the car in a location with floresent lighting if possible. Having
3 or 4 floresent fixtures over head reflect light at different dirrections thus making it easier to see things like dried wax, scratches, streaks, ect...........Hope this helps......
