Hi everyone.
My wife and I have an '81 and we would like to know what we can do to it and still keep it a survivor. The footwell carpet could do with replacing and the backs of the seats would benifit from a dust over with interior dye/paint. Our original plan was to restore it but we took 1st place Best survivor at a local show our club attends on Memorial Day and we were part of the Disney Car Masters Show here in Orlando. Everyone who has seen the car has told me not to restore it but keep it as a survivor. It still has all the original parts on the engine (manifolds, smog pump and carb), paint and interior. I like the idea of leaving it but there are things that need doing to make me happy.
I would appreciate other views on my dilemma. I'm a believer that things are only original once and they should be cared for until they really need to be rebuilt.
