What car ramps for vettes do you use?

I bought a set of metal car ramps at Advance auto that the box said were 9" wide. My front tires are 9 1/2" so I didn't think 1/2" would matter. Wrong. Apparently from the weight of the car they splay out to almost 11" and are way too wide. Also it was obvious the air dam was going to hit also. I found a set of Rhino ramps that are 11" wide at the Auto Barn on the internet for $47 but they they are made of foam plastic. Are these things as safe as metal? I'd really like to find some that are 12" wide in case I ever need to put the back end up. The rear tires are 11" so they are probably really 12" wide. Anyone have any thoughts on this. Thanks,

I think you will find, for those that do use ramps, they went with the Riano's. You do have to use a block of some type at the start of the ramp so the damn doesn't interfere with getting it up there.

I made my ramps from wood. 2, 2x10's & 2, 1x10's each.
About $12 worth of wood.
They raise the car about 41/2-5 inches and clear the air dams.

I have the plastic Rhino ramps. Got them on sale from Pep Boys a few years ago for $20.:D

I too use Rhino Ramps. They're not as nice as the older style (which was two inclines and a short level area, designed to clear low-hanging front ends) but as someone else stated, with a 1x4 or so laid at the end you'll clear. They're plenty strong - 12000 lbs, IIRC.

I use Rhino, but modified them with 1" plywood to clear the AirDams

I'm using a set of ramps that I've had for over 10 years and I have no clue who makes them. They are stamped steel and come it 4 pieces - 2 per side. The first step raises the car 4 1/4 inches, the second step raises the car 8 1/2 inches. They are 10" wide and do a fine job with the Vettes.

Here's a picture (if I can get it to work):

I looked all over them for manufacture's markings or part numbers, but they are unmarked.
