I have a 81 and I am going to change the color it is mahogany metallic right now and I am thinking, I will paint it eiter carmine red or a dark metallic blue and put some american racing torque thrusts on there what do you think??

Dark blue's always been my favorite color on a Vette, but that's just my $0.02. :)

I think both of those colors are good, but I would go with that blue. That's pretty nice I think.

When I get older, I'm going to totally customize a '78 Vette. And the paint job will probably be metallic blue or metallic red with two racing stripes of metallic silver on it. That would be crazy. :D

Good luck and have fun!

Post pics when you are done. :)

I vote blue as well. In the C5 colors, I REALLY like Eletron Blue or even Radar Blue (1998 Pace Car, almost purple). My favorite blue is Admiral Blue a la late C4 and Grand Sports. Good luck whatever you decide.

I would paint it Black! But thats just me, I have always liked Black cars.

Between the choices you presented, I would go with the Dark Metalic Blue. The American Racing Torque Thrust will look good against the Dark Blue.

Be sure to show us pictures!
