My '77 vette makes a strange movement when I step down on the gas. It's an L48 with 3-speed a/t. When I hit the gas in high gear(even without going into passing gear), the car makes a slight shift to the left until I let off the gas. It feels like it's coming from the rear wheels, differential, yokes? Has anyone else had this problem before? I'm not technical when it comes to that part of the car, so bear with me. Thanks, Keith:confused

77vette,

Sounds like time to check your trailing arm bushings and rear wheel bearings. The excessive play in either place would cause a change in rear wheel geometry under heavy acceleration.

Ding, Ding, Ding!

I'll take trailing arm bushings for 100 Alex!

Thanks guys, I'll have my mechanic check that out....:beer
