while replacing my thermostat on my 1989, I broke what looks like a very thin (and brittle)plastic vaccum tube. The tube is connected to the thing (?) that is held by the bracket that is held by one of the Thermostat housing bolts. Its is mounted and attached to the housing underneath the throttle cables.
Whats is it??
Where do I get one?
Also after reading about the leaves and things between the radiator and condenser, I removed the radiator, sure enough it was filled with debris. I cleaned it and reconnected everything. I filled the radiator, started the motor... I left the drain open to flush it out a bit.... I left the garden hose in the top, draining at the bottom, engine running..... well a clacking noise started from the radiator in timing with water pushing out of the top of the radiator (where the cap goes) once the engine heated up. Mind you the car was running a little hot in traffic.... all fans are working. Thats why I am replacing the thermostat... anything else I should be looking for? Temp was at 230 when I shut it all down....
I appreciated anyones help....
