OK - its time for another episode of "did Bob read the manual".

On the left stalk there is the PUSH lever that sticks out to engage the windshield washer. But you can also rotate this towards you - but nothing happens.

I am NOT referring to the wiper switch, that you can pull towards you to get a single wipe (mist). This is the PUSH itself.

What does this do? Is there some feature that I don't have?

Thanks, Bob

Push? Do you have any windshied washer fluid? Sounds like that could be it. But I'm sure someone with another 95 will be able to tell you without a doubt. Just my guess.

According to the manual:

that's the "make the dumb Okie get up off his fat butt and go outside and find out that it does nothing" switch. :W :W

Oh, the washer works fine when you PUSH. But if you pull, it does rotate, but nothing happens.

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout! :upthumbs No functionality by pulling it back.

That's to clean the rear window...;LOL

(sorry Bob....couldn't help myself. :)

Well, I guess that's it then - doesn't do nuttin'. They probably re-used a GM part and it perhaps did something on some other car.

Thanks for all the replies - but, at least I got you all thinkin'!

Bob

I've done some fairly extensive research on this switch, even to the point of contacting my friend, Dr. Tourvald Hagestedt, at the GM Proving Grounds.

Although they have not publicized this particular feature, it was originally scheduled to be introduced at the Detroit Auto Show with the preview of the 1996 Corvette Magnum GT 3-seater.

Well, as we all know, the Magnum GT was never manufactured because of a conflict with the name. The switch you describe, however, was designed for a self-cleaning system for the injectors.

Check back in 6 days for more details.
