computor chip for drag racing ? foes one have to get different shocks and springs for the coilovers also > thanx for any help you can give

First, you have to install the Bilstein motorsports SRC controller which has plug-in, rather than soldered in, proms. Then you buy the Bilstein drag race calibration.

thanx hib for the info , can i get that all from bilstein,. now that i have the callaway zr1 running decent .i want to see if i could get it into the 11s maybe a hopeless cause but i only need .27ths.figured the drag cal and if i could find a good tuner that still does obd1 and zr1 stuff maybe i could get lucky . know of a good one . thanx again

You can also get different spring rates for the coilovers :cool

If they are still available, the motorsports controllers and the appropriate calibration chips are available from Bilstein but, if the 11s are what you want, I'm going to guess that making an SRC change is not going to be worth almost 3 ths.

Nevertheless, you can get halfway there by removing the front actuators then manually turning the shock valves to full soft. The system will then set the rears about 60% then set a code which you can clear later.

Next, I'd disconnect one end of the front stabilizer bar, bolt on some drag radials and run the car on 2:1 or 3:1 100 unleaded race gas to pump gas. If you're at 12.73 now, you ought to get closer to the 11s doing the above.

As for tuners either Ron Zimmer or Marc Haibeck are good.
