what is best rpm range for crusing ?

Just wondering what is the best crusing rpm for a '65 with the original engine (350hp) rebuilt with flat top pistons and an L79 cam. Going to Old Town next week and thought I'd get an opinion or two as to what rpm range would be the best for the engine and I assume whats best for the engine will give the best milege. It will be about 450mi each way, so I'm just wondering ?

I don't think there's any "magic" range; if you have the standard (3.70) axle, you'll turn about 3250 at 70mph.
