:duh I am geting two different readings on water temp. Gauge says 250 analog says 200. Mechanic says he shot the hoses and read 200 Why is the gauge off. Is there another sensor for this. The heat sensor in the block on passenger side was changed so must be another one. Could gauge be bad ?? Any help :eyerole

Gauges in late C4 IPs are off because the gauge pack is a crappy design. In fact, then the cars were new, there was a little sticker in the IP that told the new owner that the gauges are not real accurate.

Use the digital display if you want accurate readings.

Like Hib said the analog temp gauge is not very accurate. The digital gauge works pretty well.
I usually leave the display on the Temp gauge at all times. Not that I worry about the car overheating,
but it makes me feel better knowing the temperature.
