I took a trip to Vegas last year with my son and got 26.4 MPG. I thought that was great. This last couple of months I put in new high perfomance fuel injectors, computer, K and N air filter , flowmaster exhaust and new cats. I just got 33 MPG coming home from work on the freeway. I was amazed. What is your best so far?

My best ever was in my ’93 six-speed coupe. I got 32 mpg on a trip from Ohio to Pennsylvania. Didn’t have the AC on and I was easy on the gas peddle. I drove non-stop a little over 400 miles.

I talked to a guy from Texas that got 33 out of his LT1 on a trip from Texas to Ohio. Don’t know if it was auto or stick. I think his car was a ’93 also.

I averaged about 27mpg on the way home from picking up the car and about the same on the way to Nashville last year.

In order to get great gas mileage you would need to stay off of the pedel, what's up with that, it's a Vette not a Hybrid Rice Runner.

I'm just saying that driving that conservativly must be killing you guys!!

And one more thing, I get about 28mpg. :eyerole

I gotta tell ya Mart, It is hard to stay off the pedel, that car is race car that holds the road very well. It's just on a long trip you back off and then you can see how well it does with mileage. :upthumbs Seems like when you go fast (won't mention speed here) the car actually sort of sneaks closer to the road, holding on tighter. It would be interesting to know what mileage you would get at high speed but, unless it's on a track that would be a hard thing to determine.

It’s nice to just kick back and keep feeding the Bose my favorite CD’s on long trips.

Don’t worry, when condtions are safe and I want to exercise my LT4, I’ve gotten some terrible gas mileage. ;)

I thought I was doing great?!

I drove 2300 miles from Denver to Phoenix to Tucson and back through Albequerque (sp) last October and got 23 MPG. After ten years of driving my 70 Malibu I thought 23 was great! I did drive a good deal in Phoenix while I was there for the week. I went over the Rocky Mountains on the way down and let's just say I did not drive conservatively. ;) :lou :Steer

I get about 16MPG

I think it's my driving style :)

I drive everyday, to work and back, and around town. I have a steady average of 19.6 on my '85 4+3. I dont activate the overdrive until I'm on the highway cruising over 50mph.

Same here on the overdrive thingy. I don't use OD until I start peaking over 2K, guess this doesn't help with gas mileage, city driving. That OD is a real PITA.
