What would you pay for a numbers matching 68 327 4-speed vette in real nice shape. Some highlites " new paint, new interior, Tired 327 engine, everything else is real nice.

Don't really have a price for you. But do take someone who is familiar with C3's when you inspect the car. His wisdom can help you better price the car. Charles

I'm thinking 13 to 16k USD if the frame is OK......paid 12,400 in 96 myself....

Good luck!

That sounds like a real nice catch. I would say close to $18k. A '68 is a prized ride these days. Especially with a 4-speed. That is a real fun car. :D

You did not say coupe or convertible or which 327 or other options....so the NADA guide list for a 68 coupe 4-speed and no other options a price range of:

Low retail $9,025, average retail $15,300, high retail $26,675

Or if it is a convertible:

Low retail $12,025 , average retail $22,250, high retail $32,950

Why would the roadster be cheaper in the "high retail"?
Good catch. Don't know what happened, so went back and got the correct numbers.

Thanks for the info guys it is a coup, numbers matching 327, very few other options, it sure looks good with a new paint and it's red on red

Well I called the guy with the 68 vette and offered him $14,000 Canadian and he told me to F'off Man some dudes sure take it personal. I guess I will just keep on looking

I would definitely have to agree with bobchad. It's not that your offer was unreasonable, but his retort was very unprofessional. Makes you wonder how he treated the car, ehh. :(

Jeez, what a jerk. Don't get in a hurry. Do look at a lot of them and over time you will get a feel for what represents a good buy condition and pricewise. It took me over 6 mos of searching before I found my vette. Good Luck. Charles
