What's "Charge system fault" code mean?

Every once in a while I get a code that reads "Charge system fault" when I first start the car. It quickly goes away and won't return while driving. Is this a problem in my system or is it just that my battery may be getting low, tripping this code, as I do not drive the car everyday? Any info is appreciated.

This has happened to me once or twice since we purchased our 99. There are several ground points around the car that need to be inspected. If you do a search in the C5 tech forum you should find a post where C4C5specialist posted a picture of the C5 ground points around the chassis. The most imortant point is the one under the battery tray. It's a good idea to inspect this area anyway as many cars have had leaky batteries that drip acid into this area where many of the main wire harnesses run.
