okay -- I'll admit that this is my first vette. So be gentle. My dealer told me that my order for a C6 was accepted by the GM computer and I have a six-letter order number.

Questions:

1. Is this progress?
2. What does it mean?
3. What's next?
4. When?

thanks. a great tip. I'm a "3100". the TPW is 12/20. I don't want to sound too ignorant, but what in the blue blazes is a TPW? and why can't GM speak english?

TPW Targeted Production Week. Sorry can't answer the other question but it's really going to suck getting your car in the middle of winter. Maybe you better start planning a trip down south. Excellent choice in color by the way.

What did you spec out ? I'm focusing towards ordering next week with the following specs. Coupe with 1SB package( because of heated seats and HUD), Z51 with 6 speed and NCM delivery. My kids (both well over 30 and marriedwith families) are voting that I get Victory Red with Cashmire, my other choice is Metalic Silver with gray. Decision time will be soon. Congratulations and retirement is great. By the way the license plate will read "CHK 6" and the frame my wife had made several years ago is ingraved "Fighter pilots never grow up" kind of fitting. I don't know about that. They keep the roads pretty clear around here. I thought about winter tires, but nobody makes them yet. My backup plan is to get Michelin Pilot A/S (245/40 18 front and 295/30 -19 rear) if the stock tires get squirrely. At least that's my present plan.
