I was just looking at the Vette locater on the JeffHardy.com site. There are 1,463 2009s listed as still for sell at dealers around the U.S. I found that number of 2009 leftovers amazing! This is the middle of December, only a couple of weeks left in the year!

Has anyone else seen so many vettes still unsold this late in the model year in the past? ;shrug;shrug

I don't believe this is completely unheard of. I purchased my 2006 Convertible in August of 2007, just as it was about to become two model years old. It had been a dealer demo (it had 3,300 miles on the clock when I bought it), but it strikes me that it's not unusual for you to find '09s still hanging around right now. Chevy's official website is even talking about the offers on '09 Corvettes.

When I bought my 2004 in January 2004, my dealer had about 65 C5's on the lot. I guess everyone was waiting for the C6's. I got a great price for my C5 because of that. Maybe those 09's will come down in price.

A northern CA dealer had a 2008 Z06 listed today for $15k off MSRP so there are even new '08s out there. Too bad I'm not in any position to take advantage of the deep discounts for new inventory on dealer lots.
