I just got around to changing the wheel bearing and now the tire doesnt move but im still getting the same thud sound. I dont think its the brake pads as i put the caliper on over the little springs. does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

if it was a u-Joint wouldnt it make a noise going in and out of gear? My car doesnt do this its more like a thud when you hit a seem in the road or a little hole.

Thud

Mine made a thud when hitting a large seam in the road just after I bought it (2 years ago). Turned out the spare tire (donut) was flat and the carrier wasn't tight. Obviously the thud came from the rear.

That sounds like a good idea. I doubt it is a u joint. Check your exhaust hanger. Basically any loose parts could make a noise.

Is the thud front or back? Mine was the hood bouncing on the stop on the drivers side. I raised it up about 1/4in. and the thud stopped.
