Hello All:

I wish to exchange my orginal Z-R1 wheels for a chrome set.

Can anyone suggest the best place to help me out?

Should I exchange or have a shop chrome them ?

Which would be more cost effective?

Is there any problems with chrom wheels that I might run into?

My personal opinion...

KEEP THE ORIGINALS! I'd just buy a new set & keep the old ones. If you're worried about the costs, just look in the classifieds or EBAY. I've seen MANY great deals on them from people who bought after market wheels and wanted to get rid of theirs. Most are in top condition too! The reason I say keep the originals is incase you ever want to sell your car. Alot of people like to have the original products that came with the car. Just my thoughts though. Everybody has their own.

BTW... From what I hear, alot of those exchange places are pretty nice. Only talked to a few people who did it, but they were satisfied.:D

I just ordered a set from Corvette Wheel Specialist last week.

http://www.vettewheels.com./

I'll let you know how they look when I get them in a few days. A few people here at CAC have posted positive experiences with them too.

After you check out the website, give them a call. I got a better price on the wheels and the shipping than what is listed on the site.

Good Luck,

Jeff
