Hi,
I recently purchased a 1998 C5 with 7500 mi. and the previous owner told me that when he took the car to a wholesaler for a month to sell it, he was missing the build sheet, owners manual, license plate frames, 2nd key fob, spare keys, and the wheel lock key when he got it back.
I am concerned enough that my spare keys and fob are floating around in public, but the wheel lock key is going to cause me a problem when the tires wear out.
Can I get a new wheel lock key from the dealership, or am I going to have to weld a shaft onto them to get them off?
Would you have it re-keyed as well? It makes me nervous that it won't be there some day.
