1986 convertible 6 speed
I just bought my first corvette. I have always been in to Oldsmobiles but a nice 1986 corvette convertible sort of fell into my lap. I really like the car but do not love the factory wheels. I am looking fro help with a question. Will the 17 wheels from a later C4 fit on my car. I have a chance to buy a set of the sliver ZR1 style wheels from a wrecked 94 coupe. I like them better but need to know if they will fit my car without spacers or any other mods. Thank, Tim.

Congrats, I also have an 86 convertible. Biggest thing you need to watch the offset on the rims. the 84-87 (I think) had either 32 or 36 mm while the other C4's had about 55 mm. The only way to use those newer tires was if you used spacers or adapters on the hubs. Personally I don't like the idea of that. Now one place that does sell rims for the early C4's is Tirerack. Others may have them but I really haven't spent a lot of time looking them up.
