I switched to aftermarket Chrome Z06 wheels. I bought a wheel and tire package that was already mounted and balanced (no problem, I have a tire gauge). The PROBLEM IS now I keep getting the "service tire monitor system" message. Any way to clear this for good?
Thanks

hey there,
i think the only way is to program it out with tech 2 or ls1 edit etc..i know it will cost a little but if you have the old sensors, have them put on your new rims and re-balance,thats what im going to do.later,Todd.

Are you sure there are not any tire pressure sensors already mounted with the tires? If so, the sensors just need to be re-programmed.

Thanks for the info, and the welcome.
I know there are no sensors in the wheels ( my wheels have rubber valve stems).

A frend of mine had the same problem. He disconected the battery, had lunch, conected and it worked. No message. He´s vette is a -97.

give it a try,im sure your friends has a stored code, but i quess you just dont want the code to keep poping up every time you start the car.Todd.
