Will the wheels and tires from a 2002 C5 fit on a C4?

What year C4?? The front 17" C5 wheels should fit 88 and later C4's without the need for adapters. 84-87 C4's will need an adapter (not spacers) to get them to sit properly in the wheelwell as the early cars used a 38mm offset and the 88 and later cars used a 56mm offset.
