My question is... Do you think the C6 rims will fit on the C5 to upgrade because of the 18 fronts and 19 rears? All the aftermarket rims I've seen are very expensive even though dealer prices for our wheels are costly too.

All19s? I was thinking of going 18s all around. What brand, model and size tires did you go with? Any reprogramming needed for Active Handling?

Hi there,
Any tires that are not the same rotating circumference will need the Active handling/ABS/TCS to be correctly optimized for the tires.
That is why there is a different calibration for ZO6 than for standard c5.
Will it work without programming? Yes.
Would it be recommended? NO!

NO one has answered the question, do you think the C6 wheels will fit on the C5?

Well sorry Lil' Red -

I have 19" rims with 305/35's on the rear and 19" rims with 275/30's on the front - the stock c6 will have 18" on the front and 19" on the rear - so unless it has mudders on it - they should be of a similar rolling diameter. My answer is a big YES - I think C6 wheels will retro on a C5 - only the offset will tell.

In regards to the active handling / tc issue - the 19" setup I have with the lower aspect ration works out so close to the rolling diameter of the stock wheel/tire combo, there is no reprogramming of any of the timed components - speedo, ac,tc etc.

and thanks for the kudos - my pictures do not do the wheels justice...

best regards-

How do you reprogram for wheel/tire resizing???? What kind of costs are invovled? Is it something that a person could do themselves?? Or do you have to take it to a dealership?? And what about lowering it?? Does that require some reprogramming??
