When will the 2006's be available (not the z06)

In southern california we can't get a 2005 anymore. I'd like to wait for the improvements in the 2006 model (especially the new transmission and paddle shifters). When will those hit the showroom floor?

You can start ordering of the 06 beginning on July 27th, however production of the 06 doesn't begin until early in September (7th or 8th) I believe. I wouldn't expect any cars to be in dealerships until late Sept. or early Oct.

The Corvette order guide has been delayed - now expected by August 4th. Thereafter orders can be placed with production beginning Sept 7th or thereabouts. I would not look for any to be in dealer showrooms until late Sept or early Oct.
