took a look today and just couldn't spot it, had a hard time tracing wires because of the cable covers...
I think i have a bad ground that i want to clean up...

Where do my headlights ground ?

Chad , I have a '71 that had a problem - when I click from low to
high beam , both low and high beam on the right side would dim . I
connected a jumper wire , (using alligator clips)- from the ground (black)
behind the high beam to the frame . I tried the lights again had both high
and low beam . It was great to see the light again from the right side .
Soon as it warms up a little more - I will get busy on it . Hope you find
your problem .

Check to see if the black ground wire coming out of the lamp harness is screwed into the radiator support on the drivers side.

Chad , You say , you think you might have a ground problem . What are your
headlights doing- maybe someone could help and suggest an answer .

Well my driver's side bulbs are significantly dimmer than the passengers side. I'll take a look at the radiator suport ground today, yesterday was too cold.

Thanks!!
Chad

Chad,

I've got the wiring diagram for the 77 and it shows two grounds. One is at the front of the left frong fender skirt and the other is at the center of the front fender support.

Let me know if you would like me to post the circuit diagram.
