Tonight while riding back home, the passenger side low beam headlight went out. I hit the brights and it comes back on. And it will stay on until I go back to low beams, then it goes out. Sometime later on I noticed it was working again on low beam. It sounds like maybe I am missing a ground somewhere. Does anyone have any idea where to look? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

The low beam headlamp has 2 filaments, one for low, and the other for high beam. When you turn on your high beams, just the high beam filament "lights" within the low beam bulb. The low beam filament isn't powered.

The high beam bulb has just one filament. It has only 2 prongs on the back, whereas the low beam bulb has 3 prongs.

My guess....the low beam is burned out. If it isn't, and both filaments light up in both low and high beam function, I'd check the connector in the back. These can get corroded. If you open your headlight doors, you should be able to reach up and underneath and check the connectors. Chuck
