hi friends:
i'am a spanish new owner of a corvette from 1990. The car was 3 years stop for a clutch problem. Now the car don't star, don't arrive fuel at the engine. We check the security light, but the car don't start.

My cuestion is if any one know where is the fuel pump, and if some one have some picture or know where is the relay, or if someone know where i can download the workshop manual.

Best Regards

Enrique

Fuel pump is inside the gastank( see pic below) it is attached to this. Also change the sock (filter) on the pump and the filter in line. ...Relay is on the firewall between the WW wiper motor and the power brake booster.

To get at the fuel pump...disconnect battery...take the door off the rear deck...unplug connector...remove nuts (about 8 or 10) and slide the pump and sending unit out...change the pump and sock and reverse order

manual

Welcome to an informative forum.

Check out ebay for manuals. They are usually available for 2/3 of the list $120. Also they can be had on a CD for $25 or so. Be sure to get manuals for your year of car.

Enjoy your Corvette!

Thank yoy very much for your reply.

Best Regards

Hi again:
sorry, but I think my english is not so good, and I don't find the fuel pump. How is necessary remove to find the Fuel Pump?, I lissen when start the car the "sound" of the fuel pump. Is possible that my vette don't start for another reason? Security system?. I fit directly fuel at the manifold and the engine start.

Please if some one can send me some picture for me are great.

Is there some web site to free download the workshop manual?

Regards

Enrique

Welcome to the Corvette Action Center. There is another member who goes by the name of SPANISHVETTES, who, of all places, also lives in Spain. He is quite knowledgeable about mechanical issues. Find him in the members section and shoot him an e-mail. I'm sure he can help you out and who knows, maybe you're not to far from him.

Su donde usted puso el gas en el coche... debajo de la puerta dentro del tanque.

Its where you put the gas in the car...under the door inside the tank.

Manuals

I saw several CD versions for sale on ebay last year when looking for '95 service manuals. Since the hard copy is many hundreds of pages, I didn't want to print them myself so opted for a used paper set.
Originally found them by doing a search for "1995 Corvette Manual" at the ebay home page. That was 18 months or so ago.

No start

Please do not think I'm being a smart aleck, but are you sure there is fuel in the tank? Also, enough fuel in the tank?

If so, and you hear the fuel pump running, try the fuel filter first. It's much cheaper and easier to replace. There are several posts about the fuel filter, try the 'search' tab above, and many include photos.

Good luck
