I have no beep-beep!! Must have a beep-beep to pass inspection. The guy who sold me the car thinks it is a relay problem so included the relay. Obvious to me he had no clue where to install it. I have read other threads on Horn problems so will start with horns themselves and work backward. But just exactly where is the horn relay on a '87 and how do you get to it??? The '87 Service Manual gives no clue to horn diagnosis---it mentions a section in the manual which doesn't exist. CAB

FIRST!! Disconnect your battery. Telling you this from experience.

It's located in your center console above the radio. Take the plastic cover off, and then the fuel/temp/blah,blah panel. And there it is. Very obvious.
As far as diagnosing horn trouble, it could be anything from in the steering wheel cover to the horns themselves, so I'll leave that to someone with more experience to tell you.

Cheers,
Gordon

Check the fuse next to the horn relay. Good Luck, Guy

Place 12 volt wire onto the horn itself (green wire) LINK...see if you can get a toot...if you can, remove the button on the steering column...you can do this by placing your hand over the button and squeezing your fingers under the button...It should pop right off...see if the plastic/metal piece under it is broke....as pictured below.
